THALASSA

2025

The painting depicts the island of Madeira from a bird’s-eye view – a radiant emerald rising from the depths of the Atlantic.

Towering cliffs plunge steeply into the sea, while dark volcanic rock bears the traces of fire. Clouds drift over the mountains like a mysterious veil, casting the landscape into a play of light and shadow. In between, ancient laurel forests stretch out, their lush green forming a striking contrast to the endless expanse of the ocean.

Yet the depiction goes beyond mere landscape: it also reveals the artist’s own place – her homeland, her origin, the ground from which her art emerges. Madeira is betrayed not just as an island, but as a source of creative power – a timeless space of resonance where nature and art are inseparably intertwined..

SAUDADE

2025

The painting Saudade captures a seascape that feels suspended between presence and longing. At first glance, the viewer is drawn into the deep green ocean — a color rich with emotion, neither calm nor stormy, but somewhere in between, as if holding its breath. The water moves with a quiet intensity, echoing the depth of memory and the pull of distant shores.

Jagged cliffs rise from the sea, their textured surfaces carved by time and weather. Layers of rock tell silent stories — of erosion, of endurance, of moments both violent and still. Their rugged forms add a tactile quality to the scene, grounding the vastness of the ocean with something solid, ancient, and immovable.

But it is not just a place; Saudade is a feeling. The painting doesn’t merely depict the sea and cliffs — it evokes the ache of absence, the beauty of what once was or might have been. The horizon is faint, almost unreachable, blurring the line between sea and sky, presence and memory.

In Saudade, the landscape becomes emotional terrain. The viewer is invited not just to see, but to feel — to lose themselves in the textures of rock and the depths of green water, and in doing so, to touch something ineffable: a longing that is both deeply personal and universally human.

AURORA

2025

The painting captures the untamed beauty of the sea in all its facets. Dark blue depths, verging on black, blend with shades of indigo, creating a mesmerizing sense of depth. Above them, waves crash in brilliant white, their spray dancing across the surface like sparkling flashes of light.

The jagged rocks at the bottom edge of the painting stand as an unyielding bastion, where the power of the water breaks. Here, the eternal interplay of the elements unfolds: the wild surge of the ocean against the silent majesty of the land. In this encounter, the dramatic tension between movement and stillness, between chaos and calm, is revealed.

Like the first light after a dark night, this work radiates a powerful sense of transformation — a moment where darkness and light merge and release a new energy.

The painting is more than just an image — it is a frozen moment of nature's force, evoking both awe and reverence.

ÁPEIRON

2025

The painting Apeiron unfolds like a vision from the edge of the known world — a seascape stripped of borders, where form dissolves into something vast and elemental. The ocean dominates the canvas, a deep, shifting green that suggests both origin and infinity. It is not a tranquil sea, nor a violent one, but a living force — raw, ancient, and unknowable.

Cliffs emerge from this ocean, their surfaces rough and weathered, rich in texture and shadow. They rise not as landmarks, but as remnants — fragments of something older than memory. The rock is rendered with a physicality that invites touch, yet its contours blur into mist, as if resisting complete definition. These cliffs are thresholds: between land and water, between permanence and erosion, between the finite and the infinite.

Apeiron — a word from ancient Greek philosophy, meaning the boundless, the indefinite — becomes more than a title; it is the atmosphere of the painting itself. There is no fixed horizon here, no stable ground. Instead, the viewer is drawn into a world where everything is in motion, where the sea and sky seem to breathe as one.

In this work, the landscape transcends geography. It becomes a meditation on the ungraspable — on the origin of things, on what lies beyond perception. Apeiron is not just a place; it is a state of being, a space where thought drifts free of anchors and the self dissolves into something greater, vaster, and unnamed.

PONTA DE PARGO

2025

Perched at the far western edge of Madeira, Ponta do Pargo is a place where land meets sky in quiet defiance—windswept, steep, and still. This painting captures that solitude with rich textures and moody tones, evoking the weight of the cliffs and the endless pull of the horizon.

Layers of thick, tactile paint echo the rugged rock, shaped over centuries by wind and sea. Deep earth tones—burnt umber, ash grey, and soft gold—anchor the land, while cool, shifting blues draw the ocean across the canvas in quiet motion. Light breaks through in soft bursts, like the sky parting after a storm.

There’s a stillness here—an unspoken conversation between stone and water, held in the pause of wind. The cliffs stand tall and weathered, watching the waves from above, while the sea murmurs below, steady and eternal.

Unlike the sharp drama of Madeira’s eastern coast, Ponta do Pargo holds a softer strength—quiet, contemplative, enduring. The painting feels like standing alone at the edge of the island, where silence speaks, and the horizon is both a boundary and a beginning.

PONTA DE SAO LOURENCO

2025

Inspired by the rugged coastline of Madeira’s eastern tip, this seascape is a textured tribute to the wild beauty of Ponta de São Lourenço. Through bold, sculptural brushstrokes, the painting captures the raw energy of the land—jagged volcanic cliffs carved by wind and sea, reaching out into the Atlantic like ancient sentinels.

Thick layers of paint create a tactile surface, echoing the peninsula’s weathered rock and arid terrain. Warm earth tones—rust, ochre, and deep brown—build the land’s fractured surface, while the sea churns in vivid blues and shifting greens, alive with movement and light. The contrast between solid rock and restless water gives the work a dynamic, elemental tension.

There is poetry in the solitude. The barren slopes, stripped of trees, suggest resilience rather than absence. Low shrubs cling to the cliffs, seabirds wheel above, and the ever-present wind shapes both land and sky. The painting doesn’t simply depict the landscape—it distills its essence. You can almost feel the salt air on your skin and hear the distant crash of waves below.

At once grounded and atmospheric, this painting transforms a stark, windswept peninsula into a textured meditation on nature’s raw power and quiet persistence.

PURITY l

2024

This unique seascape in soft, natural green tones captures the quiet power of the ocean meeting the raw, rugged cliffs. At 30 × 60 cm, its panoramic format invites the viewer into a horizontal movement—like a gentle wave pulling you into the horizon.

What makes this painting truly special is not only its serene color palette and subtle cliff textures, but its deeper personal significance. It marks a pivotal moment in my artistic journey—the very first piece through which I began exploring the world of texture. With each stroke and layered surface, I discovered the tactile dimension of painting: a new way of expressing depth, emotion, and energy.

More than a landscape, this work became a threshold—both symbolically and creatively. It opened the door to an entirely new way of seeing and creating, and continues to serve as a quiet reminder of growth, exploration, and the power of the sea to transform not only landscapes, but the artist herself.

THETIS

2025

Viewers should feel awe—perhaps even a touch of reverence—when standing before  Thetis. The contrast of dark and light, the collision of permanence (stone cliffs) and change (roiling sea), and the mythological underpinning all aim to inspire reflection on nature’s emotional and symbolic depths.

Thetis is not only a sea goddess but also the mother of Achilles. Her role in mythology is complex—she is both protector and prophet, intimate with destiny yet unable to alter it. The painting reflects this inner tension: the ocean appears majestic and maternal, yet tumultuous and foreboding, suggesting hidden depths and ancient knowledge.

This painting aims to go beyond a traditional seascape. It will serve as a visual invocation—a tribute to Thetis as a symbol of resilience, transformation, and the sublime power of the natural world.

RESILIENCE

2025

"Resilience" is a painting I created during my travels to Lisbon, inspired by the dramatic cliffs and relentless waves of the Atlantic coast. Standing before the vast ocean, I was struck by the way the cliffs endure the constant battering of the sea—unchanging, grounded, and strong despite the storm. This image became a metaphor for my own journey toward becoming more resilient in life. Just like those cliffs, I’ve been learning to stand firm through life’s challenges, to let the waves crash without being swept away. The painting captures this balance of power and stillness—a visual reminder that resilience isn’t about avoiding struggle, but withstanding it with quiet strength.

HAZING

2024

In Hazing, the horizon dissolves into a veil of mist, blurring the boundary between sea and sky. This seascape captures the quiet tension of uncertainty—a world suspended in soft diffusion, where forms retreat and light loses its edge. The painting draws on the sensation of standing at the shore as the air thickens, the familiar coast fading into the unknown.

Muted tones of slate, silver greys, and faint blue drift across the canvas, evoking a moment just before revelation or just after loss. The sea, usually a force of clarity and movement, here becomes a surface of memory—still, veiled, and elusive. Nothing is sharp, and nothing is fixed.

Hazing is not about the storm or the calm after—it’s the in-between. The indistinct. It asks the viewer to sit with ambiguity, to feel the weight of atmosphere, and to find presence in what cannot be clearly seen.

A DIVE IN THE RAVINE

2024

In A Dive in the Ravine, the raw power and quiet depth of nature converge. This evocative seascape reimagines the dramatic contours of the Verdon Gorge—one of Europe’s most striking canyons—through a lens of stone and sea. Grey, weathered textures dominate the canvas, echoing the ancient limestone cliffs that carve through the French landscape. The sea, imagined here as a vast, contemplative force, flows into the chasm as if drawn to its silence.

Rather than a literal depiction, the painting offers an emotional descent—a visual plunge into isolation, depth, and stillness. The interplay of light and shadow across the stone suggests time’s slow erosion, while the water, with its muted palette, adds a sense of mystery and surrender.

This piece invites the viewer not just to observe, but to dive—to enter the ravine not only as a place, but as a feeling.

MURPHYS LAW

2025

"Murphy’s Law" is a dark blue painting that explores the ocean not as a surface, but as a vast, mysterious depth—unpredictable and consuming. Created as a reflection on the saying “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong,” the piece dives into the emotional undertow that often follows unexpected events. The ocean here becomes a symbol of that uncertainty: deep, shadowed, and full of hidden currents. There’s beauty in the chaos, though—a quiet, dark elegance in how the sea holds everything without resistance. Murphy’s "Murphy’s Law"  is not just about misfortune, but about the inevitability of it, and the strange comfort of surrendering to what we can’t control.
